We have 16K student devices, many fail updates, Bitlocker doesn't recover, and they need to be re-imaged. When we do this, we get a duplicate device in Azure/Entra>Devices, but not in Intune. How can we prevent this or manage the duplicates?

    Using AutoPilot has cleaned a lot of duplicates up from what I've seen. It's still not 100% but has been better.

      Most EDU's don't use AutoPilot because many students are nefarious and constantly gaming IT. If AP is used to provision, there are a few moments in the process in which the end-user can gain admin control of the device.
