You are asking for something similar to the pre-provisioning/White glove experience for Windows?

Do you have any plans to implement advanced scripting support with Intune and MacOS to compete with JAMF?
- ChrisKunze-MSFT

What specifically are you looking for when you talk about "advanced scripting"?

It would be great if we could globally set app assignment settings for each app. Not every app needs to display notifications to end users, and not every app is assigned to all devices, and not every app is assigned to each group for the same installation time, etc.

Intune Admin Center Allowing Duplicate Policy Names - Needs Attention
In the Intune Admin Center, including Configuration Profiles, Compliance Policies, Endpoint Privilege Management (EPM) Policies, PowerShell Scripts and Remediations, Windows Autopilot Device Preparation, and Windows Autopilot Deployment Profiles, etc., I observed that the portal currently allows duplicate names for policies and profiles.
For example, I was able to create two Settings Catalog profiles with the exact same name, such as "ABC", even when the settings configured were identical or overlapping. This behaviour is consistent across other configuration types as well. This issue is affecting all device platforms (Windows, iOS/iPadOS, macOS, Android).

I hate to say it, but this is by design. Display Name is not required to be unique. The unique value is the policy GUID.

Is there something on the roadmap to have the same container functionality on Windows devices, that is, the same protection offered for a BYOD Android and IOS, working on a Windows Device like Surface for example ?

We are integrating Intune with non-MTR non-GMS AOSP-based MDEP (Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform) devices. We are advised to look into com.microsoft.intune.aospagent. How can we obtain IPC specifications so we can enroll the device and associate with a user via Entra ID?
- Charlotte_Christenson
Microsoft
The simplest and supported path for non‑GMS (AOSP) devices is the AOSP enrollment profile/token flow in Intune. Use the setup guide for instructions and supported options: Set up Android (AOSP) device management in Intune for corporate-owned userless devices - Microsoft …. At this time, only devices on the supported AOSP devices list are supported: Android Open Source Project Supported Devices - Microsoft Intune | Microsoft Learn.

Hi Khullar1979 - We checked with our macOS SME’s, and here’s what they shared: All the macOS SSO settings are under Devices > macOS > Configuration > Settings Catalog > Authentication > Extensible Single Sign On (SSO). If it's for PSSO, check Intune doc for more details Platform SSO configuration guide for macOS devices using Microsoft Intune. We're also working on PSSO during Setup Assistant from WWDC 2025 and will made available early next year.
If you can expand a bit on what specifically under SSO you’re referring to, we can provide more guidance. Thanks!
