I'm probably the only person with this question and it's probably a silly question, but here goes.... I want to set up Copilot so that I can use it as a personal assistant with capabilities similar to what we had with the Cortana integration on Windows 8 and 10. Specifically to help manage my email. In one of the breakouts yesterday, I heard that you can "train" Copilot to understand how you want it to manage your email inbox, but I can't find details on how to do that. So, is there a way to do that and how?
- K-FusionMay 23, 2024Copper ContributorDefinitely not the only person - and a bit let down over here that for paying customers, the product cannot connect throughout all Copilot 365 experiences and have some sort of forsight/master control/shared ability matrix. meaning - while copilot in teams cannot create a flow, it should be able to connect to copilot in power automate and tell/ask that copilot to create the automate, given that both copilots (given the proper knowledge learn book, should be able to solve for what would be needed in the flow. But - I know it's still early stages. 🙂

Hey Kristen, I wonder if you heard the reference to the new Copilot Studio capabilities coming soon where they can be triggered by the arrival of an email to them independantly complete tasks for you. You can build your own copilot or even automation with Power Automate when certain emails arrive in your mail, then perform a certain task. Does that sound relevant to you?- GirlfridayvoMay 23, 2024Brass ContributorHi Jack, Yes, I attended some breakout sessions related to Copilot Studio. I have Copilot for Microsoft 365 and signed up for Copilot Studio yesterday. So, I need to explore Studio and figure out how to create an agent that can do what I've described. I asked the question in one of those breakouts and they said I would need to use a combination of Copilot and Power Automate. Is that the case or do you think it can be created in Copilot Studio without Power Automate? My account is Office 365 E3. So, I have access to Power Automate and other Power Apps. I did figure out that to leverage Copilot more effectively IN Outlook, I have to switch to the NEW Outlook Desktop App. So, now I toggle between the Classic version and the New version (the New Outlook doesn't have all the features I use in the Classic version). #itscomplicated

Hey, great. Power Automate is included in the Copilot Studio license when used in the context of a copilot. What sort of things are you looking for specifically from your email? a specific sender? or based on the body of the mail. That usually determines the type of technology used to make it work. The brand new autonomous agent capabilities are in a limited private preview today so your main option of making this possible would be via a Power Automate flow that has a trigger for when a specific email arrives. Have a look at these email templates from Power Automate: https://powerautomate.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/
