- Ellen FinkelsteinCopper ContributorAt some point, will we be able to create a PowerPoint presentation from a file on our local computer? Now, it only accepts SharePoint, as far as I can tell

We've heard a similar ask from other customers. It's something the product team is aware of, but we don't have a timeline to share of when this may be available.
- Ellen FinkelsteinCopper ContributorIn the early days of Copilot in PowerPoint, I could ask it to replace an image, remove a slide, and do other edits on an existing presentation. Copilot no longer does much of any editing. Will that be added back in?
- Norah2320Copper Contributorhow is Copilot agent different from Copilot in Service in terms of functionality and features?

- Lydia1920Copper ContributorTo me, Copilot will remain effectively useless until it is possible to save previous work and conversations in the app itself. With the increasing demands placed on teachers, frequent interruptions, and unexpected computer re-starts, it is virtually impossible to complete a task in one sitting. I will not be using Copilot until I can save work/conversations so I can either refer to previous work, or pick up where I left off.
- ColinStRoseOccasional ReaderLydia, May I offer two responses? The first one below might be more credible. It is from human teachers who overcame what could be described as your initial hesitation. Specifically, it is an annual address to New York City Public Schools. Chancellor David Banks called on teachers and administrators to use AI to personalize lessons for students, track their progress, and boost operational efficiency. NYC Schools Chancellor Lays Out Vision for AI in Classrooms "In an annual "l address to New York City Public Schools, Chancellor David Banks called on teachers and administrators to use AI to personalize lessons for students, track their progress, and boost operational efficiency……(https://www.govtech.com/education/k-12/nyc-schools-chancellor-lays-out-vision-for-ai-in-classrooms) Author Co-pilot – Prompt –"Create a "counter-argument to the statement above." "While the "ability to save previous work and conversations within Co-pilot would undoubtedly enhance its functionality, it is essential to recognize the significant benefits it already offers. Co-pilot is designed to assist with various tasks, providing real-time support and information that can significantly improve productivity and efficiency. Real-Time Assistance: Co-pilot offers immediate help and solutions, which can be invaluable during live sessions or when quick answers are needed. Task Completion: Even without saving capabilities, Co-pilot can help complete tasks more efficiently by providing accurate information and guidance, reducing the time spent on research and problem-solving. Adaptability: Co-pilot can adapt to various tasks and queries, making it a versatile tool for different needs, whether lesson planning, grading, or administrative work. Continuous Improvement: The development team is continuously working on updates and improvements. While saving work might not be available now, it could be a feature in future updates, reflecting the tool's evolving nature of the tool. Complementary Tools: Users can leverage other tools and applications with Co-pilot to save their progress. For instance, they can use note-taking apps or document editors to jot down important points and revisit them later. In conclusion, while the current lack of saving functionality may pose a challenge, the existing features of Co-pilot still offer substantial value. They can significantly aid in managing the increasing demands placed on teachers."/Colin, with the help of Grammarly and Co-Pilot, both AI-powered tools designed to enhance productivity and improve the quality of written communication

Let me add that Business Chat, part of Microsoft 365 Copilot, includes your Session History (the right pane) that allows you to return to previous Copilot sessions. Additionally, on Monday we announced Pages, which gives users the ability to turn any Copilot response into a new persistent artifact that you can take with you and edit, expand, share, etc.

How does the Teams Meeting Policy around keeping recordings tie into the M365 Retention Policy? If the Teams Policy is to delete the recording after 7 days but the Retention Policy is 2 years, what happens to the file?

We try to configure Copilot Agent for sharepoint, we implement Syntex for document indexing in Sharepoint, but Copilot do not leverage the information extract from Syntex. How can we get help with that?
- mpjjonkerBrass ContributorFor Copilot Agents (tool calling) , is there a way to measure the quality of the tool selection ? Did Copilot select the tool(s) we expected it to use for a certain scenario ? Can we inspect the history of toolcalling in an audit log or something ? Can we also see (related to the other comment) that the end user has given consent (pressed the button) to perform the actual operation?
- sebastienlevert
Microsoft
Yes. Every call can be inspected by the user calling the API plugin using the plugin developer information card. More info on debugging API plugins here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365-copilot/extensibility/debugging-copilot-plugin- mpjjonkerBrass ContributorThat is per conversation, right ? That in itself is valuable but I am also looking for a way to get some statistics, that is information on all calls, and a bit harder also the calls where our plugin was an option but another was preferred to call
- mpjjonkerBrass ContributorIn Copilot Agents we are allowing for creating new records in other systems, will there be a generic functionality we can invoke to ask the end user to confirm a create, update or delete of a record.
- sebastienlevert
Microsoft
Yes. The API plugins will automatically ask the user for confirmation on consequential calls.
