A [..] privacy issue [..] if copilot [..] crawl(s) through the e-mails and Teams chat history of all the users [..] and then 3rd person prompts copilot to ask if someone mentioned him/her in a negative context.
Suggest to read https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365-copilot/microsoft-365-copilot-privacy and conclude that if a user can already access the content, Copilot (or more specific Semantic Index of which Copilot is an interface) can provide information to the user. If you as a user do not already have access to the data, you will also not get that in any of the responses. As such, your privacy issue doesn't exist as you already know the negative context around you as a person or not - so doesn't provide new information to you. There're also options to exclude locations from Semantic Index to avoid indexing, e.g. stuff that you consider part of your Online Archive of 5+ years ago might not be desired to index and present as information to your end-users.
