I am a SharePoint Admin in our tenant. I ask Copilot 365 to list the sites in the tenant and it only gives me about 6 when we have well over 100. Why does it not list all of the SharePoint sites since I have permissions to access them? Does it for some reason only access the ones that I am an owner of, or is it something else I'm missing?
- giovanispFeb 29, 2024Copper ContributorIt seems it lacks full indexing in many products, not only Sharepoint. I tried to ask for past emails on Outlook and it replies it cannot find. A quick keyword research on outlook is much better.
- Bipin-prakashFeb 29, 2024Brass ContributorHi, I just ran that test on my tenant (I am a sharepoint tenant on my tenant as well). It looks like what was being retuned was sites/teams that I was a member of. All our sharepoint sites are teams sites for reference.
- JZMartinezFeb 29, 2024Copper ContributorAs a SPO Admin you do not automatically have access to the data in every SPO. Correct me if I am wrong, but if you did a Bing search you wouldn't find content on sites you were not granted permissions to (as an owner or as a member/visitor). I am guessing Copilot is scoped the same way. As an SPO Admin you can grant yourself access to everything by adding yourself, but by default you don't have access to everything. Anyone please correct me if I have miss stated this.
