- ricardoacevCopper ContributorI asked this question in a previous session but I got not answer, I was checking the setup with our account admin and we don't see anything missing, any help will be super appreciated... We have a business Copilot account and we are investigating different features, one of the super useful features for the company is described in the following link and enables the option to organize team calendars and meetings, We see copilot to generate/summarize emails but we don't see the Copilot option enabled in the ribbon for calendar, can you please address us how to enable it? https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/outlook-blog/copilot-in-outlook-helps-you-achieve-more/ba-p/3981033

After reading that article you shared, all the Copilot for Mail Management feature are available (except for sounds like you); however, the Copilot for Time Management features in Outlook announced at Microsoft Ignite 2023 aren't available yet.
The article says Copilot features for time management will start rolling out in 2024 to the new Outlook for Windows and Outlook on the web, but there is nothing listed in the roadmap.
I'm waiting anxiously for the Follow option for a Team meeting, personally so I hope we see them soon!
In my (uninformed) opinion, I suspect Microsoft needs to prioritize Copilot feature parity in classic Outlook first before adding new Copilot features to New Outlook.

Do you have Copilot for Microsoft 365 and the new Outlook app installed? I have it in my Outlook experience, which is public/production version 1.2024.214.400 The Copilot icon is in the top bar on the right side for the app, above the ribbon and near the settings icon.- ricardoacevCopper ContributorI have a Copilot for Microsoft 365 license (business subscription) and the same Outlook Version 1.2024.214.400 (Production) / Client Version is 20240209002.20 . and in the top bar I only see 4 buttons (My Day, Notifications, Settings and Tips) but not the Copilot option, what is weird is that I do see some Copilot features when I am writing an email or to get an email summary but not the options our company wants to explore from the link I sent in my first comment related to meetings
- Kelly_LaForest_CDWCopper ContributorIn the Teams Admin Center, the Meeting policy option for Copilot can be changed from "On" to "On with transcript" without the Transcription option changing from "Off" to "On". Doesn't the Transcription option need to be "On" for the Copilot "On with transcript" setting to work?
- JeremyChapmanMSFT
Microsoft
The options are described here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/copilot-teams-transcription
Select one of the following values from the dropdown for the Copilot setting:
On- Select this value if you want your organizers to use Copilot without the transcript. You should use this value if you disabled Transcription for organizers with this policy. When organizers with this policy create meetings, Copilot isn’t accessible once the meeting is over.
On with transcript- Select this value if you want your organizers to use Copilot with the transcript. You should use this value if you enabled Transcription for organizers with this policy. Copilot is available both during and after meetings that organizers with this policy create meetings.

Thank you, Jeremy. The definitions are clear on what each Copilot setting offers. My question involves scenarios where an admin doesn't follow the recommendations, what they should do:
#1 - where for the "On" option, where the admin should use this value if they disabled Transcription, what happens if the admin selects "On" when "Transcription" is enabled?
#2 - where for the "On with transcript" option, where the admin should use this value if they enabled Transcription, what happens if the admin selects "On with transcript" when Transcription is disabled?
(I plan to test this out when I get access to a Copilot for Microsoft 365 licensed sandbox tenant, but if you/Microsoft, already knows the outcome, your insights and real-world experience would be helpful.)

What options does Microsoft recommend for an admin to make sure people only use Copilot with Commercial Data Protection when they are working remote and not connected to their organizations network? It would be pretty easy for them to create a second Edge browser profile, forget to sign in, then use Copilot without CDP.
- JeremyChapmanMSFT
Microsoft
There is guidance for configuring DNS settings on managed devices to enforce the commercial data protections are in place Manage Copilot | Microsoft Learn - and this also applies the settings to Copilot in Windows, and in Edge experiences.
- Kelly_LaForest_CDWCopper Contributor
I believe the guidance in that resource are for scenarios where a person is connected to their organizations network.
I'm looking for recommendations to enforce the commercial data protections where:
1. users are not connected to their organizations network.2. users are not on managed devices.
(I have my own opinions, but looking to hear Microsoft's position on the best practices to follow in those scenarios).
- leandro_moraesOccasional ReaderWhat is the best way to measure the use of Copilot in the organization? And what is the best way to distribute Extra Features licensing using Intune?
- Knut Relbe-MoeCopper ContributorCopilot dashboard will give you all of this. https://aka.ms/CopilotDashboard https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/viva/insights/org-team-insights/copilot-dashboard
- Bipin-prakashCopper ContributorAdoption score and Usage reports from the Admin portal would be the place the start.

- JasonSypkensCopper ContributorYou mentioned and showed controls (about 7 minutes in) about ensuring people only use Copilot with commercial data protection "whenever they're connected to your organization's network" to update your DNS records. Do you have any solutions (now, or planned) to address this when users are not connected to the organization's network? With the modern workplace, many people are working remote, and are not always on the corporate network. We need a way to ensure commercial data protection even off our network, as long as they're corporate devices. Without this, a user could think they're using the protected Copilot, and inadvertently send sensitive data to the version without commercial data protection.
- Bipin-prakashCopper ContributorAs long as you are authenticated using your Entra ID, CDP should be in place... https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/copilot/privacy-and-protections
- JasonSypkensCopper ContributorThe challenge is when you're not authenticated. On a corporate device, if you're not logged in, you end up hitting the version without CDP in place, and the only counter measures that Microsoft has offered require you to be on the corporate network. If you're working from home, these DNS entries would not work.
- AndreaColomboCopper ContributorIn the Teams Meeting Policies, under "Recording & Transcription > Copilot" wìhat's exactly the difference between "on with transcript" (default value) and "on"?

- SeizeThaNightCopper ContributorIf sensitivity labels are preventing a user from using Copilot for information, is there a way an Admin can audit or check why Copilot is preventing them to make troubleshooting easier? This would also help prevent help desk tickets to Microsoft.
- OCASLemonCopper ContributorCould someone please share the aka.ms links shown near the end of this session? I must have made a typo when copying them down.

- JackDuMezIron ContributorSupport from Microsoft: What kind of hands-on support does Microsoft offer for helping with setup and configuration of Copilot or Copilot Prerequisites in addition to the links provided? Is there support through FastTrack, Unified Service, or other avenues?

Hey Jack, FastTrack is going to be a great help here.
