In Meeting Options, Meetings can be set to “automatically record”. Is there a plan to add “automatically transcribe” as an option?
Hey Christopher, thank you for the feedback, I don't think there's anything announced on this specifically, but we'll bring this back to the teams. Just to add too, auto-recording does mean that transcription is on as well.
Yes, understood. There is greater sensitivity tied to recording. Recording brings all notification and anti-wiretapping rules into place where a transcription where a recording is not retained does not. Operationally, a person has to remember to turn on transcription in the meeting to have copilot generate durable post-meeting artifacts. It reduces the likelihood that I can have copilot catch me up on what I missed if I were to join late or miss the meeting completely. It would be a valuable pre-meeting setting to have available.
