The concept of Loop workspaces will exist first in a new, standalone Loop app, and we've been deeply designing how Loop workspaces appear in Teams as well.
We absolutely agree that collaboration is the intersection of productivity and communications, and that to have effective collaboration you need elements of both writing and chatting. We do think there's a lot of value in having a standalone app that allows you to easily multitask and provide you a place to focus and organize while being "heads down" or off comms.
Regarding OneNote: Definitely not the goal to replace OneNote, and we still think OneNote is going to be your best solution for personal memory and organization. Beyond that, OneNote is an incredibly valuable and loved tool particularly in education, and there's a lot of both inking and classroom scenarios that OneNote does uniquely well.
