Will loop have a proper "Activity History" built into the app? Things can change quickly in a Loop component and having a DETAILED activity history will be needed.

I heard an answer from Microsoft to a question very similar to this , and basically it was "no, version history won't be a feature of a loop component precisely as it is designed to change" or words to that effect.
- AlexH980Jan 17, 2023Iron ContributorThat's terrible news. That same argument from MS can be made to justify WHY activity history is needed. I'm not even asking for full version history like we get with other Office documents. Just a log of the who, what and when would be sufficient for me.
- darrellaasJan 17, 2023MVPThere is version history built in now using SharePoint / OneDrive’s file version feature. Within a Loop, you can hover of some text or a Loop block and see who contributed it. If someone changed it. You will see a short list of people who made changes and you can see their changes if you hover over the name. Will a Loop component or page have an activity history feed? Time will tell 😉
- Shane ChismJan 17, 2023Brass ContributorHey folks, don't worry -- we do indeed plan to have both attribution and version history for both Loop pages and Loop components 🙂. Take a look at my more detailed post above.
- MaryHillSHUJan 17, 2023Brass ContributorYou're right about the version history in OneDrive on a loop file. Me thinks the person from Microsoft who gave the answer I quoted was a little out of touch!
- prettigeekedJan 17, 2023Copper ContributorMy thoughts as well. The history would be tied to the OneDrive or SharePoint file version.
