I recently saw the use case to embed a Loop component in a Word Document - what's the purpose? Also Word / Word Online provides Co-Authoring where everyone sees changed almost directly. Why using a Loop component inside Word?

Thanks Stefan/all. Agree that there are important difference between coauthoring apps like Word and communications apps like Teams and Outlook. Beyond coauthoring, one other important capability for Loop components in Word is that the component can simultaneously exist in other places like Loop app, Teams, and Outlook. So people can contribute to the component from wherever is most convenient or visible, while still keeping the latest up-to-date in Word. For example you might track status in a Loop component in Teams during a standup meeting, and the latest would appear in your Word doc.

Jon Kaufthal, a follow-up question along these lines. Given the benefit of being able to embed it in multiple places, is there going to be an easier way coming to be able to do that...for instance, insert a Loop component and search for your existing components, or recommend components from the space vs. having to go find the file in OneDrive, get the link, and just copy/paste into the other places you want it.

  I would like to see it working the same as ContentIQ. Type an @, see a list of recent Loops suggested, or keep typing to narrow the list down. Effectively @mentioning a document, but also supporting Loop files.

    In Word for the web, you can insert Loop components in your document to collaborate effectively within the app. You can insert a new component under the Loop component insert menu or using Microsoft Editor using Context IQ, which intelligently connects you with the information you need, where and when you need it.
    
    I believe we also showed this in one of the Ignite videos as well. Context IQ is a great example of how we can keep users in the flow while making it easier to recall and discover relevant Loop components.
