May 24, 2023(Consolidation of M365 URLs-under the TLD - .microsoft) There is a 30-day notice from Microsoft when they plan to implement, but no date otherwise. Is there any additional information that can be shared with the customer? Thank you
- KonstantinRMay 24, 2023
Microsoft
We typically provide 30 days notice for customers to implement *network* changes, including allow-listing of new domains and endpoints. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/enterprise/urls-and-ip-address-ranges. From that perspective *.cloud.microsoft has been published to the allow-list a few months ago. Customers should implement this network change, just like they have been doing any other network changes based on Microsoft domain and IP guidance. Domain transitions of specific Microsoft 365 applications that involve customer admins changing *non network* configurations or services features are typically scenario-specific and will be communicated through Admin center in the context of that scenario with appropriate heads up time. - elisabeth_jonesMay 24, 2023

Hi Chris, thanks for the question. What kind of additional information would you like to see?- Odell_HembyMay 24, 2023

Hi Elisabeth, was there any defined date that we could tell our customers that this was taking place; instead of the 30-day notice? From looking in the other discussions would this be the best answer to provide "New Microsoft 365 apps and services will begin to launch on the cloud.microsoft domain in the coming weeks, with existing workloads following on a longer timeline. The general philosophy we're applying is that we should do it right & do it once so each product group is taking the requisite time to plan the transition and migrate when they are able to do so most effectively/safely."- elisabeth_jonesMay 24, 2023

Yes - that's right.
