Adoption Score & Experience Insights AMA
Event details
Hi Beth - Thanks for your question. As we continue investing in Adoption Score, we will be adding new usage signals to inform you on how to drive adoption and usage best practices. On occasion, some of these usage signals may be removed and will have some impact on the respective score category, and the overall Adoption Score. In these cases, we make it a point to inform you of these changes via the Microsoft 365 admin center Message Center.
In the documentation, you will find information about how the Meetings score is calculated, as follows:
• Created recording: This represents the score for Microsoft Teams meetings that had the meeting recorded
• Sent out post-meeting communication: This represents the score for Microsoft Teams meetings that had attendee(s) share any chat messages on the meeting chat thread after the conclusion of that meeting
For your reference, here is the documentation link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/adoption/meetings-new?view=o365-worldwide#follow-up
As for actions to increase adoption, Organizational Messages, now in Preview, enables you send messages out to users in their flow of work. These are available both within the detail view of Adoption Score categories, and within the Actions tab on the main Adoption Score page. You will also see a button for 'View communication resources' which will open a side pane displaying relevant content and recommended actions to help inform users of tips and best practices.
Later this year, we plan to add a recommended action to address these specific best practices i.e. send meeting notes or follow-ups in Teams meeting group chat after meetings are concluded.

Of course. Thank you for your feedback regarding the impact the Meetings insights removal has had on your Meetings score. Completely understand the sentiment here and I have relayed this back to our product team. As for the calculations, I understand your concern that the score may not reflect the actual usage data i.e. perhaps more users are recording meetings and sending post-meeting communications than that which is reflected in your score. I have raised this with our product team, and they've advised that a low score on these particular metrics is common in our customer environments. That said, I would welcome you to send us an email on this to adoptionscorefeedback@microsoft.com and we would be happy to investigate and confirm.
