Event details
This highlights Microsoft’s existing protection for open‑source relational databases in Azure and extends the same database‑focused security signals, risk context, and investigation capabilities to AWS RDS: helping organizations strengthen database security the way modern applications are actually deployed.
What is an AMA?
An 'Ask Microsoft Anything' (AMA) session is an opportunity for you to engage directly with Microsoft employees! This AMA will consist of a short presentation followed by taking questions on-camera from the comment section down below! Ask your questions/give your feedback and we will have our awesome Microsoft Subject Matter Experts engaging and responding directly in the video feed. We know this timeslot might not work for everyone, so feel free to ask your questions at any time leading up to the event and the experts will do their best to answer during the live hour. This page will stay up so come back and use it as a resource anytime. We hope you enjoy!

I have stumbled in a wall with an Acer Laptop stuck in the Hello screen stating "something happened and your PIN is not available". There is a link stating "reconfigure your PIN" which after 2 clicks goes to a windows stating "you do not have internet - reconnect and try again". Nothing works any further.
The windows 11 disk is Bitclocker encrypted and any attempts to boot in Safe Mode end into the Bitlocker screen asking for the KEY to unlock.
Fortunately the user of the Laptop does not know what User account was made on this windows. Remembers the Password (probably because she is using the same one everywhere) but not the User account at Microsoft. And since this laptop is the only machine ever used by this User , she never logged in from another machine. She never remembers activating Bitlocker but as she Uses MSOffice of some type the Bitlocker might been activated automatically and then the KEY should be in her MS Account.
So, the devil's circle is formed - no working PIN to log in - no Bitlocker KEY to decrypt the drive - No MS account name to log in and get the Bitlocker KEY to decrypt.
Files on this laptop are very much needed!
Please advise what will be the next step to brake this circle!- Trevor_Rusher

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am planning to implement a Lenel OnGuard redundancy solution using Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC).
We have two physical Dell Technologies PowerEdge R750 servers, and Windows Server 2022 will be installed on both physical machines.
As WSFC normally requires Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), I also need to deploy Domain Controllers. Therefore, I am planning to install Hyper-V on the primary server and create a virtual machine running Windows Server 2022, which will be configured as a Domain Controller. Similarly, I plan to configure another virtual machine on the secondary server as an additional Domain Controller for redundancy.
In addition, for the Lenel OnGuard redundancy setup, I am planning to use Microsoft SQL Server Express for the Lenel OnGuard database.
Kindly review the proposed solution and guide me further regarding best practices and recommendations.

This is a really interesting expansion of Microsoft Defender, especially extending protection into AWS RDS environments. Many organizations today run multi-cloud setups, so having consistent database security signals and risk visibility across platforms is extremely valuable.
I’m curious how Microsoft plans to handle differences in logging formats and threat detection between Azure and AWS environments, especially for real-time incident response and correlation across services.

I am experiencing an issue with macros and ActiveX controls in Microsoft Access (M365). Specifically, when the database is copied over a private network between two home PCs, the macros and ActiveX controls are being blocked due to security restrictions on untrusted file sources. Can you help?
