I really wish that you prioritized Teams channels higher than chats. Since, IMHO, you are promoting to use Chats before channels given the default ordering. IMHO (again), the items with longevity (channels) should be higher than the transitory items (chats).
Otherwise, I love the new sections and ability to combine in favorites. Small niggle, I know.

Thanks for the feedback! You can actually drag the channels section to the top, above chat. And filters at the top will help you filter to channels.

This is the first time I'm seeing these changes to Teams. Where can I get more information that can be shared with employees?

Question: archiving a TEAM procedure seems to have changed and, at times, is not working/available for a TEAM owner. Can you talk about the archiving process and set me straight on what my users should expect to see and the steps they need to follow. Thanks!

How about adding a filter option to view Teams—or some other option to return to seeing Teams a user has access to? Mixing all channels from multiple Teams is confusing.

By default, channels show up under teams as they do today. You can choose to update your teams and channels view to sort by channels in recency order. There is also a filter you can click at the top to filter to only channels in the list.

I can see how users with only a few chats and channels to keep track of might like this change, and I like the ability to create groups of chats/channels that you can name as you like.
As a heavy user of Teams, and being part of many channels and group chats, this experience is much harder to manage. Chats that I don't access frequently (but regularly) get buried, as do Team channels. I'm much less efficient with this new experience. I'm pretty good with change management but feels like something that you should be able to opt in or out of.

Hi Dainis, if you prefer, you can switch to the separate chats and channels experience.
Some "powerful on demand" features beyond custom sections that might be worth checking out - you can set any section to "unread only" which prioritizes unread chats and channels while giving you a shortcut that lets you view read items. Personally, I have hundreds of chats and channels I'm keeping up with at any given time and this has been helpful for me.
You can also sort any custom section to be ordered by recency, making sure your most recent chats and channels are at the top.
It's also easier now to jump to any existing chat or channel with Ctrl+G, or through text filtering in the rail.

I can't get in - I've been trying for 30 mins. Will the recording be released for off-line viewing?
- JessieHwang
Microsoft
Yes! The on-demand will be available on this page within 48 hours after the call ends.

The recent forced changes to how to view Teams, Channels, and apps were shocking. Things seemed to disappear, and it was very difficult to relocate how to access the components. As a long-time Microsoft System Integrator, I do a ton of consulting with large enterprises. Last year a major retailer switched from Zoom to Teams, and I did a series of trainings for executive assistants and their corporate users. All sessions were recorded and posted so their employees could refer to the training. However, after the major UI changes we are now considering having to redo the training - an expense they did not plan to have.

I second it going back to Teams. I love the CC Teams offers.

Just taking a moment to express my disappointment in Microsoft pulling the plug on this change for January. I wanted to get ahead of this since its such a significant change to the Teams interface, and based on the dates that we’ve been working with (and verified multiple times), had just advertised it on a Global News website (50,000 + viewership) as well as other vectors to get the word out. I even made a video to demonstrate the new interface. Now I’ve had to issue retractions on all those places. You guys are not making this easy for those that work in user adoption and enablement.

Teams has been very unstable for months. Please spend time improving the stability of the identity functionality, especially switching accounts in all platforms, especially in mobile (poorest experience.) Many customers and users work with multiple organizations and the experience switching accounts is poor. In addition, sharing content within an organization and especially with external is very common and highly desired. Enhancements to user experience is paramount there.

Thank you for the feedback. We'll take this back to the fundamentals team, but I suggest also sending this to http://aka.ms/teamsfeedback so that your feedback gets logged in a formal channel and gets triaged by the appropriate team.
