Can't roll-back from 25h2 to 24h2.
A few days ago, my PC automatically updated from version 24H2 to 25H2, and ever since then, I've been experiencing persistent issues that I haven't been able to resolve. Unfortunately, the option to roll back to the previous version seems to be unavailable, which has made troubleshooting even more difficult. I've tried just about everything I could think of—tweaking settings, running diagnostics, checking for compatibility problems, and even reaching out to support forums—but nothing has worked so far. It's been incredibly frustrating, and I'm still stuck with the same problem.

- OLDMAN2018Brass ContributorFirst off I believe I’m required to state this is the wrong forum for Windows 11 issues as this is the Server Insiders Forum. Unfortunately unless you have a full backup of all the partitions on your drive or SSD using your preferred 3rd party software to accomplish this, you cannot restore your Windows in a working condition back to 24H2! First rule in PC’s that is taught in IT and even most users know “Backup, Backup, Off-Site Backup”. So I would suggest you save to an external drive large enough to hold it, all personal files, and any 3rd party software installers that you have on your machine. Documents Folder, Desktop Folder, Music Folder, Videos Folder, Photos Folder, and Downloads Folder are highly recommended to save to an external drive. Then, perform a clean install of 24H2. (Wiping all data and partitions from your internal boot drive). To do this you would need a Windows 11 24H2 ISO that has been written to a USB Flash Drive. Please note it is not advisable to have your external backed up files drive attached when doing a clean install of Windows! Really bad things can happen! While Clean Installing Windows by booting off the 24H2 USB Flash Drive, Do not have the Internet connected! Also when setup asks if you want to get updates, see the blue line below, change how windows gets updates to the equivalent of no I’ll do that later(not the exact wording used in setup). You will need to briefly connect the Internet just long enough to add and sign in to your Microsoft Account, then disconnect the Internet right after signing in is successful not restoring any settings from prior computers listed. Once finally at the desktop, go Start, Settings, Windows Update (Internet still not connected during this) and you can choose pause all updates for a week, hitting it multiple times until it is greyed out. You could reconnect the Internet at this point without Windows being able to automatically update 24H2 to 25H2, reinstall all your 3rd party programs and begin restoring all those files from you external USB large backup drive. Note: Your personal preferences for Antivirus software is highly advisable to be the first program you install as your system most likely is vulnerable to just about any external attack, viruses, malware, etc. If all this is too complicated or is not fully understood how to do any of this, perhaps you should take your PC to the computer shop of your choice and let them do it. All on how much it’s worth to you. IT professionals earn their fees well.
