Customer using Azure VMs in Azure can use WS Datacenter or Standard for same costs.
If they are eligible for Azure Hybrid Benefits, they can conduct licensed cores for on-premises in the same amount in Azure (min 8 licensed core per Azure VM).
they are allowed to use WS Datacenter in Azure (for whatever reason) even when they use AHUB from on-prem with WS Standard.
on-premises they have to install what they have aquired licenses for the hardware.
If they aquired WS Datacenter they may install WS Standard or DC on-prem on
If they aquired WS Standard they may only install WS Standard on-prem. Limited to 2 VMs per licensed hardware, stacking allowed etc.
Does this help or off the topic?
