Using GPU Passthrough in Hyper-V on Windows Server 2022
Hi,
I am running Windows Server 2022 and have a Windows 10 Hyper-V running on it. I would like to use the Hyper-V to 3D design using Fusion 360 through remote access so I would like to be able to have the Hyper-V use the GPU directly. I already have the Hyper-V configured and use it for programming and rendering. I have checked and the GPU handles the workloads I need without issues on my testbench.
The configuration:
2x Intel Xeon E5-2620 v4
160GB RAM
NVIDIA T400 4GB
I have researched how to do it but the only information I can find is using RemoteFX which is no longer supported I think. I have checked and the GPU does support Virtualisation if that matters here.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.
- FrederikSchackCopper ContributorThe support for GPU passthrough in Windows Server 2022 is very poor, you may end up in a situation where your GPU is not accessible neither from the host or the VM.
Microsoft have the following guide, but please make a restore point before you attempt to use it:
