AdrianeS42 sometimes the VMMs console is flaky especially when you reboot a VM and enhanced mode is enabled (aka RDP). nothing to do with virtual switching. Hyper-V host (Client or Server OS) communicates directly with the VM through VMMS service.
Thank you for using Hyper-V! Mind that Windows Admin Center 2311 is the major replacement for Hyper-V MMC (not 100% feature complete, esp. the console session is easier in the old one).
Dear Elden_Christensen if anyone has the time, the reconnecting issues with VMMs could be worth looking into for a WS 2025 LCU. It can get really nasty, with a "cannot reconnect loop", not always reproducible but high chance.
