Caching domain login credentials on a laptop
I recently setup and configured "Windows Server 2019" on premises. I'm now in a post-configuration phase where I need to tweak various settings in the domain using group policies.
- How do I find out what the default password caching period is (in days) for computers that are members of the domain ? This is particularly relevant for laptops that are infrequently in contact with the domain controller (e.g. laptops in the field) but domain credentials are used to log in
- In the event that the caching period has expired how does one log in to the laptop ? Would I have to use a local admin account to re-join the laptop to the domain ?
Thanks in advance,

Thanks for your reply. I also found the following article which confirms your reply that it is indeed the case.
