¿Cómo comprobar que las actualizaciones se instalaron correctamente en Windows Server 2025?
Hola. Estoy usando Windows Server 2025 y quisiera saber qué pasos recomiendan para comprobar que las actualizaciones se instalaron correctamente. Después de reiniciar el servidor, ¿qué herramientas o registros puedo revisar para detectar errores y confirmar que los servicios siguen funcionando con normalidad?

To confirm an update after reboot, check more than Settings history. Run Get-HotFix -Id KBxxxxxxx, then Get-WindowsPackage -Online or DISM /Online /Get-Packages /Format:Table; verify the cumulative package is Installed, not Install Pending or Staged. Compare the server’s OS build with the build listed for that KB. In Event Viewer, review Microsoft-Windows-WindowsUpdateClient/Operational plus System and Setup; WindowsUpdateClient event 19 records success, while nearby warnings can reveal rollback or servicing failures. Examine C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log if the state is unclear. Installation success does not prove workload health, so verify critical services with Get-Service, test required ports or application transactions, and review Application/System errors created after reboot. For clusters, run workload-specific health and cluster checks. Document the KB, build, reboot time, service tests, and monitoring results as post-patch evidence.
