I have the same issue on Windows 11 Pro Insider Preview build 25921 when installing the following update:
2023-08 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows Version Next for x64 (KB5028949)I'm getting installation error 0x80070057, and can't get past. it. The system keeps asking to reboot. Never-ending cycle.
- DoubleDCopper Contributortoday I successfully installed version 25926 from 25921...not sure why that worked. Cleared the .NET Framework update but not something called "Windows Intelligence Update" which is now showing as not installed, but failed but at least is not asking me to restart my system which I did 20+ times yesterday
- erichilton1695Copper ContributorHas anyone found a fix for this? I am on Insider Preview and I thought maybe after today's update it would fix 0x80070057; it did not.
