Windows Insider Preview green screen on the Canary channel on the latest version available.
I am a technical user of Windows 11, currently working with Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine, all this time it kept me in the development channel, but I was mysteriously added to the Canary channel without my consent. Since then everything was going well, until the latest compilations from the Canary channel came out and when I was in the Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine I got green screens with different errors, some of them for example: bad pool caller / dxgmms2.
The only solution was to restore to the previous version of the canary channel. My intention is to go back to the developer channel, but the only way is to restore the computer and this would cause several serious problems with my programs, files and OS settings, so I am stuck in a canary version (Build 25314.rs_prerelease.230303) until someone from Microsoft or another user technical help me or until a stable verison is released.
- This issue is fixed in the latest build 25336.1000. Also, in this build, it is allowed to switch back from the Canary channel, to the Dev channel!
