Windows annoying habit of changing folder options
Windows annoying habit of changing folder options, i like to have windows open each folder in its own window and it show filename extentions, but it constantly turns them both off every few days, is most annoying lol
Why it does this or how to stop it ?

You're not alone—many users find that Windows tends to reset certain Folder Options like "Open each folder in its own window" and "Show filename extensions" unexpectedly. This can happen due to Windows updates, system glitches, or certain third-party software that modifies system settings.
Folder Options→View→Tap Apply to Folder to set defaults, lock preferences, if you are an enterprise version of the available group policy to force unified configuration.
