Windows 12 is no longer a thing of the future. It’s already baked into our systems.
The latest Insider builds feature the full architecture of the new system interface:
the new ShellHost (a modern loader for the upcoming shell),
the new KryptonShellHost (hosting the brand-new UI),
an active WinUI 3 runtime,
modern XAML packs,
and the entire pipeline ready for deployment.
All these components are already part of the OS.
The UI is there — it’s just sitting behind a cloud flag, waiting to be toggled.
A recent Insider build (which I won’t name here for obvious reasons) triggered another wave of rollouts.
This is a clear signal that Microsoft is moving into the final stages of testing.

I like that you are so optimistic. Yes, "Microsoft" is testing the "new operating system". This is the fourteenth one. In the new build, there are currently attempts to initialize audio drivers, etc... Visual Studio Pro 2026 helped a little in this, I agree. However, now, as always, the machines must be compatible in all respects, you cannot generalize based on only a certain system. Therefore, if 25H2 is the basis and 26H1 comes on top of it, then 29599.1000 is already three strange rewrites, which is not exactly a "Pure" operating implementation. 😁
It's understandable why programmers are waiting for miracles, and everyone needs a new Operating System that is compatible in every way on the machines they use and with the programs they envision developing.
I like all kinds of "Concepts" despite all this. And what the name of the new Operating System will be, in practice, is completely irrelevant. If the 26H1 is not "Official" but just an "Upgrade" and the new one is just an "Upgrade" then it is obvious why programmers don't like it that they have to constantly redo everything in order to make a "Clean Boot" possible on a machine that doesn't matter. 🤣
This "27H2" is also not official. You can't build on it because you can't activate it.
I know this because I've already come up with all sorts of clever tricks, all to no avail, of course.
8/11/2026 20:09 you know 🤔
However, yes, if Microsoft wants to continue to develop new technologies developed by programmers, then a new system is definitely needed. 😇
I don't know anything specific yet, but judging from the tests, for example this version 29599.1000, isn't that bad. With a little imagination, it could be done. They're also trying out all sorts of new 2026 Sund drivers, etc...
They remain in MSI, but sometimes when you click on a page on YouTube, for example, on music, the sound suddenly disappears by itself.

In the previous version, MSI deleted the driver, but not now. It shows that everything is fine, there is sound and everything is OK, but then you can't hear anything, you have to restart, or reinstall the driver and similar funny solutions, which could be due to BIOS programming, or Trusted Platform Module2 or something else. I did it again, now I'm looking to see if there is any sensible explanation for this.

I am really happy that Microsoft is in the lasts stages of testing the feature update and an Insider build is for testing the update and the new modern Windows 12 is going to help a lot in modern treats of the informatics and making people aware of the updates that are important beacause most people don't know about basic safety lconcepts which is a great issue in the modern world of today

Glad to hear you see it that way. These latest Insider builds clearly show that Microsoft is already testing the final shape of the new architecture. The components have been in the system for a long time — what’s happening now is just fine‑tuning the cloud flags and rollout logic. It really looks like the transition to the new UI layer is very close.😇✌🏻

Thanks! The graphics were designed to match what’s already sitting in the system behind the cloud flag.✌🏻😇
