Windows 11 to 7th generation Intel.
Hello
This list of processors has been confirmed by Microsoft as compatible with Windows11:
Intel Core i5-7640X Intel Core i7-7740X Intel Core i7-7800X Intel Core i7-7820HQ Intel Core i7-7820X Intel Core i7-7900X Intel Core i7-7920X Intel Core i9-7940X Intel Core i9-7960X Intel Core i9-7980XE
This new list here are only three 7th generation Intel processors that are compatible with Windows11

Deleted i have a i7 7740x processor but its not compatible with windows 11

Yes, Microsoft has not added this processor to the list of compatible, but at their own risk some users install Windows11.
Windows10 is getting better - so why risk it!
- hoomansa7Nov 28, 2021Copper ContributorSo this is wrong ,,,
i can't install it on 7740x . are there any solutions ?- AnonymousNov 28, 2021
This is one of the discussions that shows that you can install Windows11 on un supported hardware, but I don't recommend this step!

only thing stopping me is the messsage I7 7740X not supported ?
its in the list right of supported processors.
- AnonymousOct 06, 2021I did not check it, I think that there are changes in the requirements for Windows11 all the time,
so if the computer is prepared for the update, everyone will receive a notification.
there is no point in hurrying is my private opinion
Best regards- ScramblerOct 06, 2021Copper ContributorThat is true no rush, but it was on the add on list from 7 days ago and now its not 🙂
Prob they save the best for last.
- hoomansa7Oct 05, 2021Copper ContributorHello
i have Intel Core i7-7740X and yet the PC health app says that my CPU is not compatible
also Microsoft has removed Intel Core i7-7740X from it's compatible list
what is happening ? i want to install windows 11 today- AnonymousNov 28, 2021
Unfortunately, it seems that Microsoft removed all 7th generation Intel processors from the list, left only two if I am not mistaken.
Windows11 - another change in system requirements. - Microsoft Tech Community
- AnonymousOct 05, 2021Please don't worry about it!
You have to wait - Microsoft releases updates in stages.
This ensures the security of installation on individual computers.
When the system is ready to update - you will receive a notification
- jpdacostazaOct 01, 2021Copper ContributorI have seen this listed around the web a few times but does not seem to be added on the oficial list is there any update regarding this. ?

Unfortunately - nothing was added!
- testing710Sep 01, 2021Brass ContributorMicrosoft announced Windows 11 is coming in October, but support for Android apps might be delayed until 2022 and come first as an Insider Preview
https://screenrant.com/microsoft-windows-11-android-app-support-delayed/ does that mean first as insder preview for android app support in october 5 2021- AnonymousSep 01, 2021
Yes , but this discussion is about - technical requirements that will prevent installation of Windows11 - despite Microsoft's release !
This affects millions of users who will not be able to install Windows11 updates and this is a big technical problem.- testing710Sep 02, 2021Brass Contributor
