windows 11 support for 7th gen intel cpu
What if the Game PC I7 doesn't have a TPM slot and you're still I7 with a higher Power PC.
In the pc is brand new but doesn't have a TPM slot.
Is it possible you can get a TPM USB?
Even if you don't meet the minimum requirements, can you still Upgrade to Windows 11.
And still receive Microsoft Update.
It is not their Motherboards fault.
If the motherboard doesn't have a TPM slot if it was not Built in the Motherboards.
They should still receive Microsoft Windows 11 And Updates Even if they don't got a TPM Slot in there. Motherboards. In Intel Core 7
Motherboard Could that be possible?
Do they sell TPM USB.
Yes my pc
Intel Core 7
Game PC Brand new 7 months old
I believe it's a Second place computer between first place.
I have a feeling Microsoft's going to get sued cuz people are going to complain.
TPM problem. I considered a tpm was a bad move.
- Alex_ButtonOct 27, 2021Copper ContributorCheck you BIOS many Motherboard have TPM on board by is not enabled in BIOS, some Intel System also have Intel PTT which once again you have to turn on in BIOS , but windows see as TPM 2.0.
Also Yes you can get a TPM 2.0 Module for many motherboards check your boards spec / Manual for a TPM Header, ASUS mother board for example have a TPM Header on lots of tehre motherboard so you can just order the TPM module and problem Solved , TPM modules for ASUS are only approx. $20- TezzarrificOct 27, 2021Copper Contributornot really solved as you still need a cpu on the approved list for future windows updates that will run item that require the newer features of gen 8 cpu's etc
- DeletedSep 26, 2021Hi I think this documentation will explain the need to have TPM 2.0.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/information-protection/tpm/trusted-platform-module-overview#:~:text=Starting%20with%20Windows%2010%2C%20the%20operating%20system%20automatically,or%20performing%20a%20clean%20installation%20on%20a%20PC.- rockletOct 06, 2021Copper ContributorBut my pc with an i5 7500 does have TPM 2.0 tho

- mohith1402Sep 26, 2021Copper ContributorHello there is no option to use tpm usb but to get windows 11 you need Tpm 2.0 but there is a way to get it if you have i7 6th gen and above just go to the BIOS and search for PTT security or Platfrom Trust Technology it is disabled by default you just need to toggle it on and save and reboot your pc and you'll find the tpm 2.0 in windows but as per Microsoft even if you have Tpm 2.0, 8th gen and above pc's will be eligible for update
