Windows 11 Start menu not working
I just updated to Windows 11 today and the Start menu hasn't been successfully opened. I've tried to open it with touchscreen, mouse, physical keyboard and the touch keyboard but none of them worked...

I did the latest Windows 11 updates today and I have an issue : the start button doesn't work anymore (Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Insider Preview (10.0.22635.3575) (KB5037862)).
Do you have the same behavior?
Many thanks !

LtBlight I can confirm that I have this exact issue with KB5037862. Although it appeared only 5 days after installing it. Restarting the system changes nothing
- LtBlightMay 16, 2024Copper ContributorTony_Norton_600, I saw your message but I wasn't able to find this KB with your steps unfortunately.
However, thanks a lot to EDM115 !! I have uninstalled KB5037862 and now my Start menu is back. You rocks mate !- EDM115May 18, 2024Copper Contributor
LtBlight no problem 🙂
also note that KB5037867 may fix it : https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2024/05/17/announcing-windows-11-insider-preview-build-22635-3640-beta-channel/
We fixed an issue believed to be the underlying cause for Start menu crashing on launch or the All apps list not displaying in the previous Beta Channel flight.
- Tony_Norton_600May 16, 2024Copper ContributorI can only surmise that KB5036980 is contained within KIB5037862 which is why it's not visible. I would suggest, if you're happy with Win 11 as it was before that latest update, I would be inclined to ininstall it, via the route previously explained. I also took the precaution of ensuring that auto-update was not active and, as a further block, in case MS can override that, I also made me active time 03:00 to 04:00, atime when I know there will be no power available to my PC.
- Tony_Norton_600May 16, 2024Copper Contributor"ininstall" should, of course read "uninstall".
