Windows 11 Start menu not working
I just updated to Windows 11 today and the Start menu hasn't been successfully opened. I've tried to open it with touchscreen, mouse, physical keyboard and the touch keyboard but none of them worked...
I had the same problem. Via Control Panel I looked at recently installed updates and set about uninstalling them.
When I had uninstalled update "KB5036980" everything went back to normal.
Hope this works for others who have the "Start button doesn't work" problem.

- I did the latest Windows 11 updates today and I have an issue : the start button doesn't work anymore (Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Insider Preview (10.0.22635.3575) (KB5037862)).
Do you have the same behavior?
Many thanks !LtBlight I can confirm that I have this exact issue with KB5037862. Although it appeared only 5 days after installing it. Restarting the system changes nothing
- Tony_Norton_600, I saw your message but I wasn't able to find this KB with your steps unfortunately.
However, thanks a lot to EDM115 !! I have uninstalled KB5037862 and now my Start menu is back. You rocks mate !
- Have a look at my post of may 06. Using control panel/uninstall a program/view installed updates/find and uninstall KB5036980. It may have been installed in your cumulative update.
