Windows 11 Start Button not working
I have upgraded to windows 11 using the insider feature. my task bar is still the old windows 10 one and I cant use the start menu. I have gone back to windows 10 for now. Any fix or fix coming to th...
yup, it's still a problem
I am having an issue with the 'start and search' part of the task bar.
Once I have booted the system I can access the 'start square' or 'search' apps etc but having used either once or twice they then become inactive. In effect they are 'greyed out' and if the mouse hovers over them the egg timer just rotates without any progress. I haven't worked out exactly what action makes this happen yet.
The only way to be able to use the start or search again is to sign out and sign back in, reboot the system or possibly by doing something in the Task Manager but I am not sure what yet.

THE BEST WAY TO RESOLVE THIS IS A FRESH INSTALL USING THE OFFICIAL USB INSTALLATION MEDIA CREATOR FROM MICROSOFT`S DOWNLOAD SERVERS AND THEN JUST DIGITALLY ACTIVATE USING YOUR MICROSOFT ACCOUNT.
I DID THIS MONTHS AGO AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM SINCE.
OF COARSE YOU WILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE HASSTLE OFF BACKING UP ALL YOUR STUFF AND RE INSTALLING ALL YOUR APPS.
THE BIGGEST HASSTLE FOR ME WAS I HAD DO DOWNLOAD ALL MY XBOX GAMEPASS GAMES AGAIN EVEN THO THEY WERE INSTALLED ON A DIFFRENT DRIVE BUT I BELIEVE MSOFT ARE LOOKING AT FIXING THIS.
