Windows 11 S3 sleep unsupported & black screen on wake
Windows 11 forces Modern Standby, my firmware doesn’t support S3. It blacks out and powers off on wake, then boots from scratch. Hardware is fine; reinstalled 26100 and 26200 with no luck. Need fix.

In the BIOS, disable Modern Standby and enable S3 sleep mode. If that option is not available, turn off Fast Startup and use hibernation instead of sleep.

BIOS settings related to hibernation, such as "ACPI Suspend State" or "Hibernate Support," manage how the system saves power (e.g., S3/STR for Sleep, S4 for Hibernate). Misconfiguration or outdated BIOS/firmware can cause hibernation to fail or prevent waking, especially on Windows 11. Common fixes include updating BIOS, toggling power settings, or upgrading chipset firmware.
Look into your BIOS :)
