Windows 11 possibly causing Edge and other browsers to crash
weeloshwhaleI had this issue for over a month and it affected most browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge...) and it was so frustrating, I tried what was suggested here and still the problem persisted. For me the crash occured when I try to resize / move the browser window or drag a tab outside of it.
So I tried this:
- Uninstalled my graphic card driver (Nvidia) (From Programs & Devices Manager) ;
- Removed everything related to it (additional software like Nvidia control panel, Game Experience...) ;
- Downloaded and installed the driver from Nvidia website.
And now the problem is resolved, I have no more crashing in browsers, I'll post and update if this changes.
I think most likely it was the graphic card driver that was installed via Windows Update had issues and caused the crash.
I hope this helps.

Yesterday, according to your message, I updated the graphics card. I'll tell the results asap here. Hopefully it works...

- AvatarsRadioApr 12, 2023Copper ContributorBrand new computer our company invested in to solve a problem with lack of power to do what we need. Our business DEPENDS on this computer, and all it does is crash when ANY browser is launched, including Chrome, Opera and Edge. Even our live streaming software, which is dependent on browser technology is crashing. Microsoft, Windows 10 worked fine. Our entire business is at a standstill because of this problem. PLEASE HELP
- Frank68Apr 13, 2023Copper ContributorAs said, I downloaded the graphic driver from the manufacturer and installed these. The amount of BSOD is less, but still occurring every now and then. So installing the drivers has helped (Intel UHD Graphics) and I can live with only three times a week. At least all browsers work fine now, so maybe, AvatarsRadio, this could be a solution for you as well.
