windows 11 occasionally resets some tray icons to be hidden
The windows 11 taskbar is a big step back in usability.
There is no quick launch anymore and the taskbar cannot be set to multiple lines, so that it quickly becomes cluttered.
To avoid this, the wise guys at Microsoft have decided to hide most of the tray icons.
This is a usability as well a security issue to me.
They also decided to take away the button to "always show all icons" and the user needs to turn on every single item manually in Personalization / Taskbar / Other system tray icons.
A real nag is, that some icons tend to be turned off occasionally.
I have replaced the task manager with the much better process explorer from sysinternals and of course I have set the icon to be visible all the time.
Somehow, though, windows forgets this occasionally and resets the icon to be hidden again every other week.
Is there a way to prevent this?
I am furious about developers who are just building new looks but downgrade usability.

To always show all the Icons in the System Tray or Notification area of Windows 11/10, follow these steps:
1. Press Win+R to open the Run prompt.
2. Enter this value: explorer shell:::{05d7b0f4-2121-4eff-bf6b-ed3f69b894d9}
3. Tick the Always show all icons and notifications on the taskbar checkbox.
4. Click the OK button.- Peter_KielCopper Contributor
I have done the registry entry, but unfortunately this doesn't work.
I have added a bluetooth stick to my computer just to get a new overflow entry for it which I then manually need to set to ON in the taskbar settings.
