Windows 11 multi-monitor taskbar issue
I recently purchased 2 new 28" 4K monitors and was super excited about all of the productivy gains I would be realizing! I've been working on a single 28" screen for the last 10 years...prior to that I was using dual 19" monitors.
After plugging in the two 28" monitors I started to experience the same taskbar nonsense many in this thread were also experiencing. I tried every "fix" that was mentioned in thread to no avail. I was considering purchasing a multi-monitor utility in hopes that would help, but as a last test, I unplugged one of the 28" screens and plugged in an older 19" screen I had. So 1 28" 4k screen as the primary and 1 19" HD monitor as the secondary.
Guess what! No more taskbar issue. I'm not sure why the mismatch in sizes or resolutions fixed the issue, but it did. And it's actually quite convenient because the 28" paired with the 19" is actually much more palletable on the desk.

ctorx745 for me it worked to keep one monitor on 60hz and second on 59hz.

Another thing to try is a different interface. If your system and monitors support them, try using one type of interface on one monitor and different one on the other. e.g. display port and HDMI, HDMI and wireless, etc.
Are you connecting directly, or through a video dock? I'm using a Kensington USB3.0 2X Video Dock and haven't any (unresolvable) issues for the last several months.
Also, if you are using HDMI, ensure that you have the appropriate HDMI cable. Not all are made the same, and different versions of HDMI compatibility support different features - especially if you're connecting 4K monitors!
Tall that said, Windows 11 monitor support is still a far cry from that experienced with Windows 10. You would think all that Microsoft Development Team genius pool would be able to get it right after all this time??? (One of the basics of any troubleshooting - historic review of a state when the trouble didn't exist... (to wit - Windows 10))

Teligence1970 My original configfuration of 2 x 28" screens included one using HDMI and the other Display Port. Didn't help in that case.
