Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.176 REALLY messed my computer up.
AdamM1987 Hello, to answer your question.. Do not worry it did not screw up your computer however windows insider program Dev channel does mention it is a"preview" of updates and let's say "services" or functionalities. Last night only I recovered my taskbar had disappeared on my surface pro 5. There was an update to do which was taking long and I hadn't realized I really had to wait and short for it to be done. It had been 3 days I had looked up and tried every single possibility on Google and YouTube and still nothing and I'm stubborn into timing I can find a solution and solve it. Then I read something which made me realize it was maybe the update release itself which made it disappeared so the next one (s) should solve it. And so it did.. We do know windows insider program channels one of them comes with errors and so I remembered that. I've done the WIProgram for years since I went from a desktop to a laptop then surface.. not because it ruined green but because the desktop was too heavy so I use it at home for external drive and for fun stuff.. the laptop was for university but has other problems so I'm really everything I don't need and still use WIP on all of them to upgrade windows versions sms be able to keep them legally and functioning well because if they don't.. that's on Microsoft not on me and there's a solution they will have because they know their stuff and updates. So certainly NOT regret using it. So try updates coming from if because one might and should solve what the previous one did. If that still doesn't solve.. not downgrading but try recovering system to manufacturer's settings (don't forget the backup first) just in case... or try the windows recovery system to install from itself.. windows 10 and 11 have that option or at the latest if your computer or laptop still has DVD/CD drive try reinstalling windows from there... Have you tried also Restore point from a date where you know it was working fine and you from there changing to Beta channel or something. When that doesn't work and you can't it's also because that preview release version doesn't let us and you have to wait for another update.. try also the windows update trouble shooter to check for pending updates... I had that issue on my older laptop and head to wait for updates.. it's slow as hell and had to wait but def worth it and still an option and maybe the only one.
