Windows 11 insider preview 22593.1 (ni_release) failing
2 previous updates were also failing with the same error. I was hoping 22593.1 will install but I got the same 0xc1900101 error: Did anyone find a solution to this besides a clean install? ...

I was having a failure downloading the update with that code. It turned out the setupconfig.ini in the default profile existed from a previous Windows 10 feature update and it had incompatible settings in it. The file would likely be at %systemdrive%\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WSUS\SetupConfig.ini and removing it might help if you are getting the failure during download.
- paulgeantaApr 07, 2022Brass ContributorThank you MikeGR76. I will give that a try but my download goes well, Install goes to 100%. Once I reboot, it applies the changes, a few reboots and at 60% it reboots again. On the last reboot it rolls back the update...

paulgeanta SAME! I mean the EXACT same thing for me! It sticks at 60% for a bit (sometimes also at 48% then 60%, but not for quite as long as it sticks at 60%, and it sticks there EVERY TIME) then goes all the way to 100%, reboots, then rolls back the update. Tried a million times!
- IsmajliApr 09, 2022Copper ContributorTried many times, sticks at 60%!
- TY451Apr 07, 2022Copper ContributorJust to say exactly the same behaviour here, also started 2 updates ago.

I've had the same issue, GSOD after installation and Windows then reverts to the previous version, 22581.

There is no WSUS folder in my location.
i have noticed my non system hard drive (F) flashes when trying to install this update.
Why?
- MikeGR76Apr 08, 2022Copper ContributorDarren,
That folder would only be there if you have corporate IT that pushes custom feature updates. Our desktop team(which I was a part of until recently) does that and before I set it to insider I had received a standard feature update. Those corporate settings apparently don't work with Windows 11's latest feature updates. If you don't have the folder you won't see the issue I ran into.
