Windows 11 Feature Requests
Is there a board to post feature requests in win11? I'd vote to get back named group in start menu pinned apps. It helps when you have a lot of apps on your system.

I would really love if Windows was able to reopen the same folders after OS update restarts which I had open before it asked for the reboot.

Microsoft should low the processor requirements 2 generations, and everybody happy, the rest of the requirements are solvable with minor upgrades, like TPM cards, memory, etc. There are 4th/5th generation CPUs very capable to run Win11, even better than some 12th generation ones.

I use my TV as a 2nd monitor, extended display, and watch streaming or downloaded video on it. I'd like it if, when a window is opened on, or dragged or swapped to my TV (monitor 2), the audio will also automatically be swapped to my TV. Then, if I drag or swap the window (media player, browser, game, etc) back to monitor 1 (computer monitor), the audio will automatically be swapped back to the default output (PC speaker). As is, I have to go into the Volume Mixer and do this manually. One issue I run into is, if the video I'm watching on the TV is in a browser and I have that browser's audio output set to "TV", and then I have another window of the same browser open on my PC monitor, and I click on a video, I can't render that two separate windows of the same browser two separate places, they'll both play from the TV or the PC speaker. (For the record, I'm not casting the A/V to the TV, this connection is through HDMI.)

It's a paid 3rd party app, but check out Actual Multiple Monitors. It does exactly what you're wanting (and a lot more). You can try the full version absolutely free for either 14 or 30 days, can't remember. I use it on all of my PCs with multiple monitors. Not affiliated.

What i hate about Windows 11 is that its trying so hard to look like MAC OS... I hate MAC OS... when MS gives me the option to make W11 keep the same look of W10 i will make the switch...
Until then i will keep using my good looking, reliable W10...
Why remake the wheel 🛞 if it already worked and was loved by everyone...
Microsoft please bring back the old look or at least give us the option to change to the old look.

saurabh2947 Would be great to have some kind of shortcut or a toggle in the menu to switch between full dark mode, and my custom mode (which keeps system in dark and apps in light), as I constantly switch between those and it takes me extra time to do it every time. Thanks!

Learning how to make batch files with a text editor (Notepad) is a pandora's box. You can create all kinds of custom toggle switches, buttons, knobs... and put them right on your desktop or in your Start menu. All Windows settings have an address you can point a shortcut to, and if the option is as simple as "0 or 1", or in your case, "dark or custom," you can just create a switch for it. After you make the shortcut, you can get creative with its properties and give it a custom icon. Or, if you really want to dig in and be fancy, you can put more code into the batch file, and create a button that looks pressed/unpressed, and/or changes colors, or a 'lightswitch' that's up-or-down.....
Paste this into your search engine and start here, then narrow or broaden your search from there:
batch file to toggle dark mode on or off for apps in windows

 - kowabundantCopper ContributorI am requesting the feature of moving files and folders by dragging into the top title bar be added back into Windows 11. This popular feature was removed and greatly improves workflow to drag and drop files and folders to other directories much easier.

There is no feedback hub on my enterprise Windows 11, and no Microsoft store. It has all been blocked. There NEEDS TO BE ANOTHER WAY to send feedback!!! My tec people are too busy to bother with improving Microsoft products, even things that impact productivity or accessibility. Microsoft, to understand and make another forum for feedback.

Have you tried the hot key for the feedback app?
<Windows button> + <F>
~ Your IT team may have removed the app, or they may have just removed short cuts to it is why I ask.Likewise you can review this page for changes that occurred to the Microsoft store mid 2021.
A lot of people also use this site to provide feedback;
https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/
I've been in your shoes a few times previously, and I would suggest providing this feedback to YOUR IT department, as they are the ones that removed Microsoft store and the feedback hub.- simon2245Copper Contributor

Currently taskbar size cannot be increased using mouse drag in windows 11.

I have a windows desktop and a windows laptop.
At home i work on my desktop. And when i am out. I work on my laptop. (sorry for stating the obvious )I want to use my desktop and laptop as one PC. Changes made when i am not at home to sync up with my desktop. and vice versa.
New packages installed, downloads and changes to a file. (basically, a replica of my desktop). Less compute on the go and more compute at home. I don't want to install packages on both machines.
i know i am living in a fantasy land. But i really need it. So as my other colleagues.
Thank You- Kyle_TMCopper ContributorInstall software available online with the use of a CLI utility;
This type of task is incredibly easy to replicate, because only the commands need to be transferred from one station to the other, and then executed remotely. HOWEVER, this may be complicated with the utilization of firewalls and inadequate connectivity; BUT the activity can be set to a delayed state, and/or wait for adequate connectivity to complete the action, through polling for the file to become available.
NOTE: These actions would need to be hexed, such that duplicate environments can be created with a certain degree of integrity;
Of course this is not entirely replicable however because no laptop can completely duplicate a desktop environment, due to different components of the two environments, resulting in different requirements being validated and others not.

 - Markus22Copper ContributorMicrosoft should have a public bugtracking and feature request system where users can log their requests and found backs and track progress/decissions about those. It is nearly 100% sure Microsoft has such a system in house already. Other vendors provide access to such systems and it really helps these vendors and the customers. Vendors simply get better feedback than what's possible with feedback hub. Or can I track requests entered via feedback hub? I'm not aware of this possibility.
