Windows 11 Canary 26058 Installed Successfully but....

Copilot is no longer available on the Taskbar and does not start with Win C.  Windows Hello is working Great! Copilot is still showing in Apps though not working except on Windows Edge.  Strange.  Wait for next Update and see if they fix it.   Keep up the Great work!!

    Hate to jump on with a "me too" reply, but I can confirm this is happening to me in the dev channel build as well. I can see a Copilot icon in the search bar, but when I click on it, it takes me to the normal search, and clicking on Copilot from there opens the web version in Edge.

        Alabamatom1963Sweet, thank you! Changing both of these in regedit worked for me! I did also have to change one more thing. I had to go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsCopilot, and change the dword AllowCopilotRuntime to 1 to get it to work. For some reason it sometimes switches back to 0, but it will still work for a while.

    This build 26058 is bogous, in fact there's an incorrect dependency for the Explorer.exe or its Shell "Experience" addon:
    The explorer will crash each time you open a folder, while trying to display the customized top bars for menu/button (only the two directory and content views are working, not the main part; this means that file opening dialogs, or the display of icons on the desktop are working).
    When running in Failsafe mode you see an error dialog 0XC00005 displayed (incorrect parameters to some API).
    Just try fresh installing from the ISO for build 26058: you also get the same issue.
    When upgrading any release of Windows or a previous dev build, either the update does not complete and it is retried multiple times, or it gets installed but then after the reboot, you no longer have any taskbar on the desktop
    * only icons that should be on that taskbar are displayed, only at small size)
    * the Start menu icon crashes
    * any folder view crashes
    * to be able to launch any command, you need to press CTRL+ALT+DEL to open the Task manager, and then use the "Execute command" button at top of the Task manager. With that you can run "cmd.exe" (possibly in Admin mode).
    * Using "SFC /SCANNOW" or "DISM /ONLINE /CLEANUP-IMAGE SCANHEALTH" reveals NO corruption at all.

    In summary, this build 26058 was incorrectly built with wrong/mixed dependencies. I don't know any one that have this build correctly running.
