Ergonomically speaking, the taskbar with Start Menu at the top of the desktop keeps the user's head more upright and straight forward than the default and locked(?) position at the bottom of each monitor screen. This would be the reason for allowing users to put the task bar anywhere they want it on the desktop monitor screen. Does anyone at Microsoft care there are fewer features in Windows 11 than in Windows 10 Pro, or Windows 7, or Windows95 for that matter?!

100% agree. I also want to look up to save my neck. It is so frustrating that even with regedit I can not move it to top. I have to download third party software. What they were thinking at Microsoft?!
