Windows 10 Update and Activation
Reza_Ameri I went back office and restart my PC. Start >Right click, select Windows PowerShell (Admin), run DISM ScanHealth command, halted at 36.9%, Error: 2 with a message "The system cannot find the file specified." CSB.log, Checking System Update Readiness: Operation result: 0x80070002, Total Detected Corruption: 8, where CBS Manifest Corruption: 3 and CBS Metadata Corruption: 5. Do I need to boot from the USB and to retry Startup Repair?
- Reza_AmeriJun 07, 2021Silver ContributorIt seems like it is okay and your Windows is corrupted and you have to reinstall it.

Reza_Ameri I open Windows PowerShell (Admin) and type chkdsk /f. Restart my PC and note a message that scanning and repairing 100% complete, but I don't see any report or where I can find it out. I repeat chkdsk without /f, and attach the report as shown on the photo and note a message "Windows has scanned the file system and found no problems. No further action is required.
CHKDSK Read-only Mode
- Reza_AmeriJun 06, 2021Silver ContributorThank you for sharing, try run the following command:
chkdsk /f
From what you shared, I believe your system is damaged and you have to reinstall it. - PS7010Jun 06, 2021Brass Contributor
Reza_Ameri I found some information from CSB.log and see whether it is useful or not:

- Reza_AmeriJun 05, 2021Silver ContributorTry the following commands:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth - PS7010Jun 03, 2021Brass Contributor
Reza_Ameri I insert the Windows Installer and then select Start > Settings > Update & security > Recovery > under Advanced Startup, click Restart now. In the Advanced Option, I select Command Prompt and type SFC /Scannow. The message is that Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.
Do I miss any step?
Command Prompt: SFC Scan
- Reza_AmeriJun 03, 2021Silver ContributorThis is the Recovery Environment and you have to click on the Command Prompt and then type the command I mentioned earlier.
- PS7010Jun 03, 2021Brass Contributor
Reza_Ameri I boot with the Windows 10 installer, English version and open the Advanced Option as follows: Which one is recovery environment for loading?
Bearing in mind that my PC Windows 10 is Enterprise Edition and the Windows 10 Installer Professional Edition. Kindly advise me further.
Advanced Options
- PS7010Jun 03, 2021Brass Contributor
Reza_Ameri Yesterday, I tried the present Chinese Version, but failed. I shall go for the English Version later and then advise you of the outcome.
- Reza_AmeriJun 02, 2021Silver ContributorEarlier, I shared a screenshot about running the repair and you shared it is showing a error.
In the menu you may select the Advance option.
First , try the version you already have and if it failed , then go for the English version. - PS7010Jun 01, 2021Brass Contributor
Reza_Ameri Presently, I have the Windows Installer, Chinese Version in my USB. Do I need to reload the Windows Installer in English Version?
Secondly, how can I load into the recovery environment? Any specific menu item I can select? Let me make sure the above before Act.
Thank you in advance.
- Reza_AmeriJun 01, 2021Silver ContributorTry boot with the Windows 10 installer and load into the recovery environment and then open the Command prompt and type the following command:
sfc /scannow
Press enter and let it runs. - PS7010May 31, 2021Brass Contributor
Reza_Ameri My home PC, Professional Edition resumed normal without reinstallation.
Moreover, my office PC, Enterprise Edition could not be reinstalled by myself as explained earlier. Hopefully, Windows Insider Build is able to find a viable solution. If worse come to worst, I can accept Windows Re-installation by Microsoft technical team with prior notice for back-up files.
