Windows 10 system computer displays Ethernet icon despite no network cable being connected.
The computer has never been connected to an Ethernet cable, yet the network icon in the taskbar consistently displays the Ethernet symbol. In reality, it accesses the internet normally via a wireless network.

Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
Expand Network Adapters.
Look for any Ethernet adapters.
If you see any Ethernet adapter that is disabled or not in use, right-click and choose Disable device.
Also, look for virtual adapters created by VPNs or virtualization software. Disable or uninstall unnecessary ones.
