Cheers man, it's been baffling me for a week or so now!
Fixed it. went into powershell admin and ran:
netsh winsock catalog.
then:
netsh int ipv6 reset rest.log..
This fixed my ipv6 problem then I let the update run and now all fine.

This setting does not change anything in my system. After 43% of update sequence, the system still undoes the installation.

Last failed install attempt on 02-08-2018 - 0xc1900101
- I also had to edit the Registry Key, HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters\DisabledComponents
and change it to 0, because it was set to 0xFFFFFFFF, to disable IPV6.
