Windows 10 Compared to Windows 11

After using Windows 11 for a year, it's clear to me that Windows 10 is a thing of the past. Although my older Dell Inspiron 15 3000-3552 is a bit slower than my Inspiron 15 3000-3510, the difference in speed between Windows 10 and Windows 11 is astonishing. Normal computing on Windows 10 feels noticeably slower, and updating the older PC can take hours or even longer. In contrast, my Windows 11 machine updates within 20-30 minutes at most.

To prevent background processes from disrupting updates, I prefer to download the specific update ISO and install it without antivirus software, usually while offline. Recently, I tried a regular update and after 5 hours of waiting, I resorted to downloading the ISO and completing the installation in less than an hour. This experience makes me wonder if the sluggishness of Windows 10 updates may not be entirely the fault of my older Dell, but rather how Microsoft handles Windows 10 updates.

If I'm mistaken, I'm open to hearing differing opinions. I simply believe that the Windows 10 programmers may not be keeping pace with their Windows 11 counterparts, for reasons unknown to me.

Windows 11 has been designed to take advantage of newer hardware features, which can contribute to better performance, especially on modern CPUs and GPUs.
