Windows 10 automatic update installation package occupies over 10GB of space.
Windows 10 automatic updates have accumulated approximately 10GB of installation packages on the system drive (primarily for system upgrades or patches). After attempting common methods such as disk cleanup tools and manually deleting the SoftwareDistribution folder, only a small amount of space has been freed. Seeking a solution to completely clean up residual update files.

To thoroughly remove the accumulated Windows Update files and free up space on your Windows 10 system, you can use the built-in Disk Cleanup tool with elevated permissions, or perform a more advanced cleanup using Command Prompt or PowerShell.

This utility is designed to remove Windows Update files and free up space. However, it's not included in Windows 10 by default. Download the WUcleanup.exe tool from the Microsoft Support website. Run the tool as an administrator to remove Windows Update files.
