1. Reset Windows Hello (fastest way)
Open Settings > Accounts > Login Options
Find Windows Hello (Face/Fingerprint/PIN)
Click "Delete" and reset
2. Update Biometric Drivers
Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager
Expand Biometric Devices
Right-click on your recognizable device (e.g. "Intel(R) RealSense(TM)") Select Update Drivers > Auto Search for Updates 3. Run Windows Hello Troubleshooting RealSense(TM)")
Select Update Driver > Automatically Search for Updates
3. Run Windows Hello Troubleshooting
Open Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshooting
Run Windows Hello and Fingerprint Recognition Troubleshooter
4. Check Group Policy Settings (for Business Users)
Press Win+R and type gpedit.msc
Navigate to:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Hello
Ensure that "Disable Windows Hello" is set to "Not Configured"
5. Reset the TPM chip
Press Win+R and type tpm.msc
Click "Clear TPM" (administrator privileges are required)
Restart the computer and reset Windows Hello
6. If the above methods do not work: Create a new user account to test
Perform a system restore to a normal working state
Consider resetting Windows (keep files)
