Win 10/11 file history is malfunctioning after an update why hasn't Microsoft fixed this issue yet?

JakeyG​  Thank you for sharing your experience. I am also experiencing a File History problem, and Microsoft has not yet provided a confirmed fix.

It is concerning that multiple users are reporting similar File History issues. I hope Microsoft will investigate this seriously and provide an official fix in a future Windows security update.

The current temporary solution is as follows:

Console → All Console Items → Archive History → Select Drive → Select D Drive again

After re-specifying the same backup drive, perform the backup again, and the update will proceed normally.
