Why my files marked with a red circle with an x
Hello, this is for a new dell laptop with win 11 installed by dell. I have about 500gb of files to copy from my win 10 box to new win 11. copied a 15gb bunch via win explorer across my local net. many of the copied files are marked with the red circle.
they seem to be ok, ie, they open ok and there's no info in the properties to indicate some thing is wrong.
same problem with newly created files saved from both faststone capture and win notebook.
did not any errors searching the event viewer.
gemini thinks its indicative of one drive problems, I have not yet uploaded any files to one drive so out of space should not be an issue
this is real disappointing to say the least for a brand new box and new win 11 o/s, any ideas what this might be and how to resolve

Windows 11 has OneDrive built-in, and sometimes, the default settings may try to sync files even when you haven't set it up properly. This could result in files being marked with a red circle if OneDrive is in a state of conflict or unable to sync properly.
