Why is the Extend Volume option grayed out and unavailable in Windows 10 Disk Management?
In Disk Management, I want to merge a 20GB unallocated space into the adjacent E drive, but the “Extend Volume” option is grayed out and unavailable, preventing direct operation. I need to understand...
The unallocated space must be directly next to the partition you want to extend. If there's any other partition (like a different drive letter or system partition) between the unallocated space and E drive, the option will be grayed out.
