Where can I find Windows 8 product key after reinstall?
If your machine is still running Windows 8, you can sometimes find Windows 8 product key by going into the settings. Open up a Command Prompt window and run the following command:
wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey
This should display your key if it’s available.
If you linked your Windows 8 license to a Microsoft account, you might be able to retrieve it via that account. Log in to your Microsoft account on the website and look for your digital products or purchase history—it might just show up there!

I have tried to find product key on Windows 8 using your method, but it doesn't always work. Running the command wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey from the command prompt sometimes shows the key, but often it doesn't, especially if the system was pre-installed. However, if you have bound Windows 8 to a Microsoft account, you can try account recovery and log in to view digital products or purchase history, which may be a surprise! But in general, this method is not always reliable and feels a bit unstable.
