I have a 3-year-old Dell XPS 15 9560 with Intel I7 -7700 and running Windows 10. It was more or less a high-end laptop at the time I bought it. It cost around $2500. I think it is kind of strange that such a laptop cannot be upgraded to Windows 11.
I am really a fan of Dell and Windows and I have been working on Dell machines for three decades. But this - not being able to upgrade to W11 - really makes me consider moving to Apple MacBook for my next laptops.

Like you, I've used Dell products for 25 years. I'm actually thinking of doing the same thing, as you. I'm looking to get a Macbook with the M2 chip, in 2022. Just bought the wife one with the M1 chip, for Christmas. I'm using a HP Spectre x360 15" with a i7 - 7500. Not happy with MS for doing this.
